Are you just about to give up on God and Church?
Have you been through times of struggle in your life that left you doubting?
Have you asked God for help only to feel as if He's let you down?
Have you just about given up on church?
Have you been burned in the past by someone who claimed to be a Christian?
Have you tried different churches but they didn't seem to have anything relevant to say to your life?
And yet, even after all that, there is still a part of you that wonders, "What if God could be a part of my life?" A part that wonders, "What would it be like to have a loving church family of friends to share my triumphs and hardships?"
What if it were possible? What if there were a different kind of church out there?
Maybe there is. Maybe you just found it!

Who Are we Anyway
We're a church willing to meet you right where you are. You don't have to pretend you have it all together to come to The River. You don't have to have come to a decision ahead of time on what you think about Jesus.
The River is a church for people who don't have their lives all together.
It's a church for people who have more questions than answers.
It's a church for people who want to have close spiritual friendships but maybe aren't ready yet to trust someone.
It's a church for people who are spiritually hungry and trying to find somewhere to get a decent meal.
It's a church for people who would like to have God be a real part of their lives, but have no idea how to make that happen (or even if it's possible).
The River is a church for people who've given up on God.
The River is a church for people who've given up on church.
Just for a moment, allow yourself to hope: what if things could be different?
We are a church for people who've given up on God and given up on church. We want you to know: things can be different.
Worship at The River
Worship in Word
We teach the Bible and talk a lot about Jesus. We believe that each person is starving for the greatness of Jesus, whether they acknowledge it or not, and thus we seek to communicate His clear message of hope and salvation every Sunday. The gospel is not only what the unbeliever needs for salvation but it is also what the believer needs for sanctification. At any given time, you will find that we are teaching through some book in the Bible, verse by verse or emphasizing a topic that is important for our church family to hear, but we always use the Bible. If you don't have a Bible we would love to offer you one so you can follow along with us. If you don't know much about the Bible please come and listen so that you can learn about this great Creator and Savior whom you were created to enjoy forever!
Worship in Prayer
We believe that without Jesus we can literally do nothing. So as we gather we come to plead with Him to visit with us and show us Himself through His Word. A portion of our family meets at 10:00 Sunday mornings to pray for our church, our area, and our time together that morning in worship. So, if you would like someone to pray with you or would like to join us as we cry out to Jesus, know that you are welcome.
Worship in Music
With music, our goal is to worship Jesus whole-heartedly and authentically. The Bible describes worship in many ways - in silence and with noise, standing, sitting, kneeling, and even falling on your face. As we sing we respond to who Jesus is and what He has done for us on the cross. We have an excellent worship leader who is a genuine guy and is gifted by God to usher us into the presence of Jesus. Worship in music is one of the central aspects of our worship and you will find that a lot of our time together is devoted to this very precious and needed ministry.

God's Word
The Bible is God's inspired word to us without any mixture of error. It provides us with a standard for living out the relationship God desires us to have with him, with each other and with all people.
Multiplication
God loves people and it's His desire for us to have a ministry of sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with others that we might take part in multiplying God's family.
Cultural Relevance
We believe in order to win people to Christ, we must be relevant. This affects our overall atmosphere, our dress, worship style, language, messages, teaching and ministry.
Worship
We believe we are to love God with all our heart. We worship God with music, singing, giving, praying, and daily living. This worship philosophy helps us have greater intimacy with God and a Godly influence on others for the cause of Christ.
Empowerment
We believe every Believer is a minister, so it's our desire to empower people to minister by serving first through the local church and secondly through and in the local community. Members of River Church are released to carry out the mission of the Church as they feel led by the Holy Spirit.
